§ 8.16.050. Parking of vehicles or trailers carrying hazardous materials

  • A. In addition to the restrictions set out in Section 8.16.040, it is unlawful for any person, firm, corporation or other entity to park any vehicle, trailer or semitrailer carrying any hazardous material upon any:

    1. Street, road, alley or other property of the city except where the chief of the fire department shall have designated for such parking and posted appropriate signs;

    2. Private property within five hundred (500) feet of any structure used for human habitation.

    B. This section shall not apply to any vehicles, trailers or semitrailers temporarily parked while being unloaded for only so long as is reasonably necessary to conduct such unloading.

    C. This section shall not apply to the transportation of hazardous materials by railroad.
