§ 13.04.290. Character of pipe

Galvanized iron pipe may be used, except under brick or concrete or bituminous mat pavement, but the use of black pipe is prohibited and water will not be turned on to the premises where the same is used. Service pipes under brick or concrete or bituminous mat pavement shall be copper pipe unless the water superintendent grants permission to use pipe of another kind. The service from the main to the curb shall be constructed of not less than three-fourths inch pipe. The service pipe may be one size larger than the size of the meter used, subject to the approval of the director of utilities.
