§ 13.04.100. Water rates—Established

A. The following rates are hereby established for all consumers or users of water from the municipal waterworks of the city:

B. A minimum charge for every user, building, lot or ground, business establishment, separate premises, or consumers to whom water is supplied within the city shall be not less than eight dollars and ninety-nine cents ($8.99) nor more than one hundred fifteen dollars and ninety-eight cents ($115.98) per month depending upon the meter size as provided herein.

C. A minimum charge for every user, building, lot or ground, business establishment, separate premises, or consumers to whom water is supplied outside the city shall be not less than eleven dollars and fifty-four cents ($11.54) nor more than two hundred eight dollars and thirty-eight cents ($208.38) per month depending upon the meter size as provided herein.

D. If there be more than one user, building, lot or ground, business establishment, separate premises, or consumer receiving water through a single meter, the occupant of the premises where the meter is installed shall pay the charge for water furnished in excess of the quantity supplied at the sum of the minimum rate.

E. Upon the fifteenth day of the first month of each of the next five calendar years subsequent to the effective date of the ordinance, the water rates herein shall be automatically increased two percent above the rates of the prior year and rounded to the next highest $.01. In the fifth calendar year subsequent to the effective date of this ordinance, the city commission shall review the water rates herein.
