§ 8.16.060. Requirements of vehicles transporting hazardous materials

It is unlawful for any person, firm, corporation or organization of any kind to transport any hazardous material within any vehicle, trailer or semitrailer unless such vehicle, trailer or semitrailer is:

A. Marked or placarded on each side and the rear with the word "explosive" in letters not less than eight inches high; or

B. Equipped with a red flag on the rear not less than twenty-four (24) square inches marked with the word "danger" in white letters six inches high; and

C. Equipped with at least two functioning fire extinguishers, filled and ready for immediate use, and placed at a convenient point on such vehicle, trailer or semitrailer.
