§ 3.04.040. Petty cash fund—Emergency expenses

  • A. Established. There is authorized the establishment of a petty cash fund in the city clerk's office for the purpose of paying postage, freight, temporary labor and other emergency expenses. Such petty cash fund shall be deposited in the city clerk's office and paid out on order of the city clerk by voucher, which shall state clearly the purpose for which issued.

    B. Warrants Issued for Reimbursement. Whenever the petty cash fund becomes low or depleted, the city clerk shall prepare vouchers covering such expenses as have been paid from the petty cash fund and shall process in the same manner as all other items of indebtedness against the city. Warrants issued therefor shall be payable to the petty cash fund and shall be deposited therein to restore such petty cash fund to its original amount for use as herein provided.
