§ 15.08.110. Reinspection

  • The city electrical inspector may, from time to time, make and conduct a reinspection of all electrical wiring, devices and materials now installed or that may hereafter be installed in any building or structure within the city, and should the city electrical inspector find that any such electrical wiring, devices or materials are dangerous or unsafe, he or she shall notify in writing the person, firm or corporation owning, using or occupying such premises and shall state the necessary repairs or changes required to place such electrical wiring, devices and material in a safe condition. Such person, firm or corporation owning, using or occupying such premises shall cause such repairs or changes to be made within fifteen (15) days or such longer period as designated by the city electrical inspector; and during such period of repair, and until such defective electrical wiring, devices and materials shall have been made safe, the city electrical inspector may authorize and direct the discontinuance of electrical service to the premises.
