§ 15.04.140. Materials not covered in code

In cases where it is desired to use materials other than provided for in this code in the construction of buildings or structures or parts thereof, or where it is desired to use a method of construction or arrangement of materials other than as provided for in this code, the building inspector may refer the matter to the building board for review and recommendation, whose findings shall be final and binding.
