§ 15.04.110. Right to stop construction— Demolition

  • A. The building inspector shall have the power to stop the construction of any building or structure, or the making of alterations or repairs, when same are being done in a reckless or careless manner or in violation of the provisions of this code, or any city laws, and to order any or all persons engaged in so constructing, altering or repairing such buildings or structures to stop and desist therefrom.

    B. The building inspector shall have power to stop the wrecking or tearing down of any building or structure when it is being done in a reckless or careless manner or in violation of the provisions of this code, or any city laws, and to order any or all persons engaged in so wrecking or tearing down the buildings or structures to stop and desist therefrom. When work is stopped by order of the building inspector it shall not be resumed until the building inspector shall permit it.
