§ 15.04.030. Administration

There is created the office of building inspector under the direction and administration of the city manager. The building inspector shall be appointed by the city manager. The building inspector shall approve all plans submitted for the purpose of obtaining permits, and direct all inspection work. He or she shall have full power to pass upon any question arising under the provisions of this code or any article or section thereof, subject to the conditions, modifications and limitations contained herein.
