§ 13.16.040. Notice

  • It shall be the duty of the inspector of the board of health, when directed by the city manager, to notify in writing the owner or occupant of any premises in any sewer district in the city upon which any cesspool, privy, privy vault, or slop hole that is not connected with the sewers of the city exists, that the same has been declared a public nuisance, and require such person to connect the same with the sewers of the city within sixty (60) days after the service of the notice. A police officer of the city shall serve the notice and make return of the service upon a copy thereof and file the same in the office of the city clerk within ten (10) days after service.
