§ 13.04.190. Installation of meters

All meters shall be installed outside the building in the parking unless permission to install same at another location is secured in advance from the water superintendent. The meter shall be so installed that the top of the meter is twenty (20) inches below the top edge of the tile and the top edge of the tile shall be at least one inch above ground level so as to keep out surface water. The curb cock shall be installed outside of the meter box and shall be made accessible by an approved curb box. When a property owner installs a lawn sprinkler system and the combined water consumption of the sprinkling system and the building on the property require a meter of more than one-inch capacity, a separate meter may be installed for a lawn sprinkling system and shall be installed at the property owner's expense, and the consumption shall be billed and paid for separately without regard for other water metered to the user.
