§ 12.04.160. Removing curb

The owner or lessee of any lot or piece of land abutting on any street who may desire to remove existing curb and gutter for other purposes must secure a written permit from the city. The curb and gutter being removed for repair or driveway entrance shall be completely excavated and taken out to the nearest joint on either side of the part being repaired or made into a driveway entrance. The construction of the driveway shall be under the direction of the city inspector and shall be done in such a manner as not to change or interfere with the gutter or sidewalk grades where such driveway crosses any sidewalk.
