§ 10.12.080. Request to change parking regulations

  • In any instance where a person, firm or corporation is of the opinion that parking motor vehicles should be regulated in a certain manner other than the manner currently in effect, and desires that some change be made in the regulation of parking at a specific place or places, such person, firm or corporation shall make written request or recommendation to the chief of police concerning the same. The chief of police shall investigate the request or recommendation and report his or her findings to the governing body. The governing body will then consider such request or recommendation. The city clerk is authorized and directed to report action thereon taken by the governing body to the chief of police, street department or other appropriate city official for the necessary action thereon, if any, and report the action of the governing body to the interested party who made the request or recommendation.
